This letter of appreciation is presented to Tony Johnson (of Crosswind Project Management Training) for his involvement in the establishment of the AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Service) Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO). Tony helped lay a solid foundation for the IT PMO by providing significant contributions in project management processes, best practices, and mentoring. Also, AAFES is very appreciative of Mr. Johnson's training that led to the certification of six of the IT PMO Project Managers, as well as introducing project management fundamentals to numerous directorates. AAFES has benefited greatly from Tony's expertise and knowledge in project management.
Toreaser A. Steele Brigadier General, USAF (United States Air Force) Commander
"Tony is a tireless professional dedicated to the advance of the Project Management Profession and the creation of cutting edge approaches to implementing processes that work. He served for over a year (2004-2005) as an IT consultant for the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) providing direction for the creation of AAFES's new Project Management Office (PMO). He not only authored (or provided input) on many of our forms and templates in an effort to standardize processes, but he also provided the initial roadmap for our Project Management Methodology (PMM). This gave us a consistence and repeatable process that our sponsors could understand and use to track our progress towards delivery on their projects. After the PMO was well established, Tony was asked to provide PMP training for the uncertified Project Managers in the PMO. During this assignment, Tony trained all the PMO Project Managers and many representatives from the nine organizational branches of AAFES. In this one year period he helped design the PMO, developed a very useable PMM, documented the process, and directly trained over 50 AAFES associates, not to mention fine tuning this incredible PMP training material/program. My experience in working with Tony has caused me to grow by giving me new insight into PM processes that are reality based."Roger Lively, MBA, PMP on endorsing Tony's work to LinkedIn users.
Dearest Angie, Thank you so much for teaching PMP Success Series class. I passed the PMP exam last week, thanks to you and Tony's great material. All your tips and tricks helped me a lot for the examination. Thanks to the braindump and the constant support and encouragement. Thank you to you and the wonderful team at crosswind. Couldn't have done without you all.Aparna Smitha, PMP
Thank you again for your dedication to ensure your students are as prepared as possible. The Crosswind PMP Exam Review book is worth its weight in gold as far as I’m concerned. I wouldn’t have had the results I did if it were not for the quality in the study methodology you are enforcing with your book and supporting materials.Mark Bentsen, PMP
Hi Tony, I took the PMP exam last Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Bedford center and I passed the test! I am so relieved that it's over. The exam was really hard for me. I probably would have not survived the test without your 'brain dump' and the practice questions in the book. Thank you for the class! I'll be recommending Crosswind to all my co-workers who are planning to get their PMP certification.Genevive Gener
Susan Garner in Oklahoma City passed the PMP Exam on the first try! Yea! I passed it on May 4, 2007 thanks to Tony’s and Crosswind’s help. I took the “boot camp” the week beginning Feb. 27, 2007 when Tony traveled to Norman Oklahoma and taught a class at our company. Your content was right on, especially the Earned Value calculations. Thanks for your help and best wishes to Crosswind for continued success!!!!Susan R. Garner, PMP
Tony - I passed the exam this morning! Thank you for your commitment to perfection through Crosswind. I can now enjoy a great football season. Go Cowboys,Kyle
Hi Tony, I was in your class this week. I passed the test today! I’m glad it’s over and I can be an evangelist for Crosswind. In my particular instance, you took me from 0 to passing in 4 days. I conclusively passed every section of the exam, although by the end I was not convinced of my success. Anyway – thank you and you shall hear from more people (at our company) in months to come!Doug
Thank you for your help yesterday!! I ran through the simulation exam - it showed me where I needed to brush up. I took the test today and Passed!!! Couldn't have done it without your help. Thanks so much!!Cheryl Shavel, PMP
I passed the PMI PMP exam yesterday 7/2/07.I want to thank you for your support in achieving this goal. The material from the Crosswind PMP Exam Review Boot Camp and the extra tools that came with the course definitely prepared me for the exam.
Initially, I studied the PMI PMBOK Guide which does contain the material defining the PM knowledge areas and processes. The PMBOK Guide did not explain how to deal with real world situations which are important for my profession as a Project Manager and to successfully pass the exam.
Listed below is what I felt helped me prepare for the exam in order of importance:
1)Crosswind PMP Exam Review Boot Camp 4-day instructor led course 2) Crosswind PMP Exam Review Boot Camp course manual 3) Memorizing the Brain Dump (44 Processes/EV calculations/etc.) 4) Crosswind PMP Exam Simulation 5) Crosswind CDs (Process/Definitions) 6) Crosswind Flash Cards 7) PMP®/CAPM® Exam Tip of the Day subscription 8) PMI PMBOK Guide
Thanks again for your time and prior to taking and passing the PMP Exam.

I have passed my PMP exam! And done so in my first attempt. Its an achievement based solely on your PMP Exam Success Series: Certification exam Manual and PMP Exam Simulation 7.1. What's even more amazing is thatI achieved my certification within 4 weeks of night-study. I am glad to have found the right partner! Thank you!Walter Tan, PMP
I would like to send my congratulations to Mr. Tony Johnson and the team who wrote that "brilliant book"! I never read before such a book which was described as great as this book of yours I mentioned above. I've started already to recommend it to all my colleagues which are interested in PM! Many thanks for your help, I really enjoyed reading it.Timoleon Danias Germany
Hi Tony, this is Eugene Stellato. I am the individual from Toronto who spoke to you on the phone last week who was asked you a few questions in regards to some things in the book. I am glad to tell you that I successfully received my PMP certification on Saturday. I felt your book just covered all the bases that all the rest of the books didn’t. Your book was comprehensive and the exercises and exam really helped me. The girl in the test centre was amazed. She never seen anyone complete the exam in 3 hours and pass. Well thanks for everything, for answering my questions and for creating a book that helps answer all the doubts about the exam.Eugene Stellato, PMP
Tony, I would like to share with you great news. I just received an offer for a Program Implementation Manager position with the International business unit in my company. It was an internal opening with very tough competition with 2 other highly qualified candidates. I am confident that the PMP certification that I received after attending your class had a significant impact on the decision, as it was listed as a ‘distinct advantage’ in the Job Requirements. I had 6 interviews with all the business and technical managers in the group, including a lot of challenging Project Management methodology and situational questions. What I learned in your class really helped me and swayed the balance in my favor. Several of my colleagues have been asking me about the PMP certification and I referred them to you. I strongly recommended your company. I am confident that this is the best Project Management training in Dallas. You will be seeing a few more people in the class pretty soon (actually one of them is starting tomorrow). Thank you! I learned so much from you, and it indeed helped me to progress my career.Boriana Illieva, PMP (174/200)
Dear Angie: There are a lot of exclamation points today. Thank you for teaching our PMP Success Series class! I appreciate your teaching style and love of subject matter! Speaking of success... Today, I PASSED the PMP Exam and excitement abounds! Many blessings to you and the team at Crosswind! Have a great week! Sincerely,Jay Trapp
Hi Tony, I PASSED the PMP exam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for your help on Easter Sunday night! What unbelievable service! I do not know of any other business that would have responded as fast as you did and I really appreciate it!!!! The PDF file that you have on your Web site helped me answer some questions that I definitely would have missed. The Point of Total Assumption definitions and calculations were of great help! I will definitely recommend your materials to others studying for the exam. Thanks and Best Regards,Tammy
"I was seeking to prepare for the PMP Certification in an intense "bootcamp" with a training organization that understood the time constraints that professionals face in juggling their daily responsibilities and studying for the PMP certification. In essence, I was looking for a class catered to the realities of today's IT world of after hours pagers and project deadlines but still provided the tools and materials to pass the PMP exam with a high success rate.It was during my search for this type of training that I came across Crosswind. My first impression was that it was too good to be true. Being a visual learner, Tony's products caught my attention immediately. The "intelligence" in these products that allow one to study while on the road and audios for the end of the long work day not to mention the sample exam questions was too good a deal to pass. I attended the class and my investment was well worth it. Its amazing what four intense days of bootcamp, exam simulation questions, a break down by knowledge area on the exam at the end of the bootcamp and a one on one review of areas of strengths and weaknesses in determining whether one is ready to sit for the PMP exam can do. I was prepared to sit for the PMP exam in slightly more than a week !
If you are finding it hard to fit PMP into your already hectic schedule and want to study "smart" instead of "hard", Crosswind Project Management with its high level of PMP Exam success stands out among the crowd. Tony's dedication to both his students success and the advancement of the field of PM is to be commended.

Tony, thanks again for presenting at the meeting Thursday. We appreciate your insight and knowledge, best said is subject matter expert.John C. Baley, PMPPresidentPMI Dallas Chapter
Tony Johnson has demonstrated excellence in the field of Project Management with his PMP Success Series. As Tony's former student, I know he is an excellent instructor, trainer, and motivator. I have had an opportunity to review his PMP Success Series with some of my former students and plan to use his PMP Certification Exam Manual for a future class. This manual is comprehensive, complete, and inclusive of PMBOK. It's a one-stop shopping approach towards preparation for the PMP Exam.Angie Gamez, PMP 2006 National Tranist Transit Institute (NTI) Fellow PMI Dallas Chapter Education Committee Volunteer
Tony is an excellent teacher, and my Crosswind PMP Preparation class has been more beneficial than the MBA classes I have taken. Instruction is learner-centered and well organized for certification studies. I hope to take more classes through Crosswind in the future. Thank you!Kristie Richardson (Trainer, NMS/PM Consultant, Crosswind Alumni, PMP Candidate)
Just to let you knowI passed the PMP! Admittedly, it was more difficult than I expected but without your CD I cannot truly say that I would have passed. In fact, the only resources I used for preparing for the test was the PMBOK and your CD. As promised I recommended your CD to our training coordinator and to other Project Managers that are preparing for their PMP. I am planning to start a study group to help others prepare for the exam and in fact I would like one day to teach a prep class. Thanks again for help. Regards,Laurence
Tony, Thanks for the MS Project class, it really helped getting me to the newer version of project. I also felt the comparison to EPM was good. By the way I have been spending a lot more time in your PMP success Series: Certification Exam Manual the more time I spend the more I appreciate the approach and the way the overall book is laid out. The practice questions with explanation is a good learning tool. It is nice you took the time on how the answer was derived.Jim Leefers, PMP
Hi Tony, As you know so far i have been working as QA Manager in (Company withheld) . Now i have been selected as "Director of QA Operations" for (Company withheld in Ann Arbor, MI.) The most important things that i want to share with you is that going through your book "PMP Success Series - Examination Manual " which is being used in classes, helped me a lot while attending the series of interviews for this Director Position. The main highlights of the book is that all important project management definitions have been highlighted by you. I have plenty of knowledge in project management from IBM, but when it comes to an Interview / Exam, we need to follow the exact terms/definitions stated by you. Thats what i observed from my experience. Shooting the right terms in right term is very important for them. I am happy that your bookish knowledge helped me a lot to get the good position in my career and looking forward to complete your classes and finish the PMP examination in coming months.Prasad Yarlagadda (PMP Candidate)
I used your book to study for the (new) PMP certification exam, which I took today. I scored 89.9% and I believe it was largely due to your book. I used (a competitors) book too, but her questions/exercises ended up confusing me, rather than helping. Yours were great. Thank you!Lynne VanArsdale, PMP
Best training I have taken in years....keep it up and I will definitely look to take more from Crosswind.Steve (PMP Candidate)
We were successfull! I say we because I could not have done it without your training. I will e-mail the results tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for everything!Jarred Torrance, PMP
Passed the PMP exam today (168). Thanks for you help and your class.Mick Burnett, PMP
I have some good news to share with you and my training batch of April-July, 2003. I became a PMP yesterday, with 165/ 200 score. The credit goes to you and your coaching and inspiration. THANK YOU, TONY! Though I took a long time in preparing (more than six months from end of our session on 7/26/03) due to work related pressures, I thank your placemat for helping me retain stuff. The placemat and the input-tool-output tables are great. The tips you gave during the training are also great. Once again thank you.Debashish Banjerjee, PMP Crosswind Statistics - As of August 2005 Highest Score by Crosswind Student: 187/200 PMI Global Typical passing Score: 145/200*
This class is a must.... The Crosswind PMP Exam Prep course stands out from others for several reasons. I am a visual learner. As soon as I saw some of the visual tools offered by Crosswind, I knew this was the course for me to take. The color-coded placemats helped me to quickly learn the different processes, knowledge areas, and most important math formulas. In addition, I had the option to use flash cards and / or the audio CDs when learning the vocabulary terms. I typically used the flash cards, but liked having the option to choose between the two methods. In addition to course tools, the instructor of the course really made a difference in my success. Tony has commitment to his students that goes beyond the typical student / instructor relationship. Tony truly cares about his students success. The student's success is his success. Special attention is spent on teaching the PM concepts versus remote memorization of the terminology. I now have confidence to utilize skills acquired in this course in my daily Project Management tasks. Tony, thanks for your willingness to help me when I got behind due to unforeseen life events. Your patience in covering material multiple times, and commitment to my success gave me the confidence I needed to pass the test and become a PMP!!!Melissa Axton, MBA, PMP
Tony, I wanted to let you know that I passed the test today (157). So you have another PMP to add to your alumni list.Dan Knight MS, PMP
I got a callback today from (private name) in response to a Project Coordinator position at his company. I'm hoping to hear something positive back from him next week. Just so you know, he saw Crosswind on my resume and mentioned you by name.Jake Benka, PMP, MCSD
To complete the project of my PMP training I felt a lessons learned was necessary, so I am sharing with you my wisdom gained. Everything I needed to pass the PMP was in your course. Your emphasis on the material is exactly the material needed.Alice Willhoite, PMP

"The Crosswind training is the hands-on curriculum that taught me how the five project management processes improve any project. After learning the nine knowledge areas of project management, I understand how to attract project sponsors, how to collaborate with other departments, and how to manage a project to a detailed plan and schedule. Now that I have completed the Crosswind training, I am confident that I can create and adapt project plans and project schedules to meet customers' expectations. I recommend the Crosswind training to anyone in any industry who wants to improve his or her management skills."David Dobbs, PMP (An IT Trainer) "Another one has flowered from Tony's Garden.
